For downed power lines or dangerous or leaning trees, call 911 or your utility first. DebrisDash is not an emergency service and cannot clear hazards.
Hurricane and storm cleanup
Hurricane and storm debris hauling on the Gulf Coast.
After a hurricane or tropical storm, start safe, sort your debris, follow any city or county collection rules, then request quotes from independent local haulers for what is left. Guides for Mobile, Gulfport, Pensacola and Daphne are below.
DebrisDash is a marketplace. A hauler has to see your post and accept it, so we cannot promise a pickup date or time, or that anyone will respond.
Storm guides
Storm cleanup guides by city.
These guides cover common storm jobs in a few places. DebrisDash works wherever independent local haulers are on the app.
Before you request
Sort storm debris before anyone hauls it.
- Make it safe. Report downed lines to 911 or your power company, and leave trees under tension or on a structure to a trained crew.
- Photograph the damage before anything moves, for insurance and for a clear request.
- Follow official collection first. Cities and counties often announce storm debris collection with their own dates and rules.
- Separate the piles: vegetative debris, construction debris, appliances, electronics, and household hazardous waste kept out entirely.
- Request quotes for what is left, such as debris behind the house or mixed loads, with photos, your general area and access notes.
Local debris work
Debris hauling starts with a clear post.
Show the pile, show the payout, and give haulers a place to take the load.
Post the pile
Post photos, material, size, an entered bounty, and private arrival notes. The hauler view shows the estimated post-fee payout before claim.
Batch nearby work
Pick nearby jobs, then choose a dump, scrap yard, or compatible receiver site for clean material before the truck moves.
Keep job proof
Keep pickup photos, destination notes, and status with the job.
Job proof
The storm record stays with the work.
Photos, hauler, destination, timestamp, and closeout stay in one sample record.
